Need an attorney, search for the right type for your case

Tips on your search

The attorney you choose should be reputable and reliable. Read client reviews to get a good sense of how they worked with and treated past clients. Don't put too much weight on generic reviews, like: "Great attorney!" Also, look up potential attorneys on your state's bar association website. Your state Bar Association will list any disciplinary action that has been taken against the attorney by the Bar.

Choosing a reputable and reliable attorney can hopefully prevent you from selecting an attorney that you'll eventually have to fire. Hiring another attorney part way through your divorce can increase your costs because you'll have to pay for that attorney to get up to speed.
