There was a time when I could do sums in my head. Not anymore. The numbers got bigger and the head got slower and somewhere along the way I started trusting machines to tell me things. So when I wanted to know how much a slice of Bitcoin was worth in real money, the kind you can hold, I did not reach for a pencil. I reached for the calculator.
It is a simple thing. https://paybis.com/bitcoin-calculator/. You type in how much Bitcoin you want and it tells you what that costs in your own currency. You can do it the other way too, type the money and see how much coin it buys. More than forty five currencies if you are not American and do not wish to pretend to be. The number moves with the market, so it is not lying to you from last Tuesday.
There is also a profit tool, which I used against my better judgment. I put in a hundred dollars from a year ago and watched it tell me what it would be worth now. I do not recommend this before your second drink. It is a fine line between curiosity and self harm.
The good part. You can press a button and buy straight from the page. No hunting, no second tab, no losing your nerve halfway through. Fraction of a coin, whole coin, whatever your pocket allows.
I did the sums and I bought a small piece. The calculator did not make me rich. It just stopped me guessing, and a man who stops guessing has one less thing to lie awake about.
