Oh, of course they wouldn't have had to. She'd have turned into Cally's younger and less assertive sister. Must be something in the water.
I'd like to have seen Nina join the crew if I have a choice. She's my favourite character from that episode. She's more complex as she's a natural leader (she led the Seska and seems confident that she can get the Homicks to do what she plans) but has layers to her charcter. Why does she love GunnSar? That in itself either says a lot about 'Stockholm Syndrome' or else that there was more to GunnSar than met the eye.
