Thank you again, Lisa. This has to be called a service above and beyond the call, and I'm sure both Una and I will both be eternally grateful.
A few very personal thoughts:
Kerr Avon in 'Voice from the Past' is the most absolutely gorgeous sight in the whole damn canon (as evidence, I submit no 21, 24, 29, 31, 35, 43, 61, 98, 107, 123, 136, 138, <deep breath> 145, 155 and 170)
Blake is rather gorgeous as well, when he can keep the camera from up his nose (nos 15, 17, 52, 93, 120, 180) Of course, the A-B shots were deeply appreciated at this quarter, I do love watching Avon's detachment go out the nearest window like this (22, 23, 43).
The other three all look good too, and I love Avon and Jenna teaming up to play Cavalry to the Rescue.
Nice potted plants :-)
The mummy is no less ridiculous in stills, but both 'he' and Governer Le Grande is a lot less annoying when you can't hear a word they say. And the costumes, my god, the bathrobe costumes (they could at least make them out of nice material, so they don't hang like blankets).
Tarrant is IMO at his best-looking in Animals (006, 016 - the curls look baby-soft in the latter, which is probably why they frizz when outdoors)
Avon ... he's still gorgeous in Animals (IM-not-even-slightly-biased-O), of course, but doing two new episodes together makes it even clearer how much he's changed inbetween. Take a couple of close-ups, say Voice 29 and Animals 74 and the hardening of his features, the deeper coldness in eyes and mouth, the visible loss of something vital in him, is striking. Terminal/Rescue and the strain of leadership has IMO stifled, possible destroyed that something and it shows. And VERY DEFINITELY whoever was doing PD's hair in S4 should have been made to sit and watch Voice over and over till they got the message - the change is positively painful (Voice 21, 31, 35; Animals 115, 199, 204)
Vila hasn't changed a lot, except that he seems to have misplaced quite a bit of hair :-) but he's also a little harder, a bit diminished. Servalan - the third character in both episodes - is also subtly crumbling (Voice 102, Animals 97) a process even more marked, IMO, by the time of Warlord. And I liked the shot of her cheap-casino-style flight deck :-)
And finally - yes, yes, Steve, Og brushed up rather well ... are you now going to put together an Og wallpaper for us?
