This reminded me of some 'principles' invented by a friend of mine (a shrink). They've nothing to do with technology, but the sentence structure is almost the same (I hope I'll get this right in English):
"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that no one is really trying to kill you."
"Just because you're hypochondriac doesn't mean that you're not really suffering from a terminal disease."
