: Hmmm. I'm not sure why Gareth Thomas would think this. I was involved in B7 : fandom well before it ever aired here in the US and when it *did* air, I was : heavily involved in the fandom. I watched B7 on channel 36, Providence, RI PBS, in the early-to-mid-80's. I saw it from the very first episode the first time it aired (I tuned in expecting my Doctor Who fix), and they cycled back and the second time I got the ones I hadn't previously recorded on tape, including The Way Back. I still have that tape. So I could be mistaken in my recollection of the first cycle, but I doubt it; the second one I have proof of. I've never heard of the first episode being omitted. I find it more plausible that the episode would be edited, but I haven't actually heard of that either.
