Cheryl responding to Susan Beth this time:
only in as much that the misguided youngster doesn't see sufficient examples of standard behavioural patterns in our society, either through non representations on the home front(some parents don't talk about sex at all and some do not ever show open affection, either towards each other or their offspring)also there are children that do not regularly attend school and not everyone has an older sibling whose current relationship can be used as a good guide - I know I am citing extremes but as I said in my other post - it is the extremes that cause me the concern and if they are led to believe that pornographic material is somehow not only exciting and approved of as standard behaviour (which allowing it to enter non porn areas does suggest)then they really are being presented with the wrong message.
Speaking as a former pretty close example of such a child, I truly wish that some kind person had had the foresight to show me something explicit ... any message being better than no message. Getting handed the keys to life aged 17 with no message whatsoever about sex, drugs, &c&c was not one of the most useful experiences.
I know that this is just one atypical example, but could be considered the opposite extreme to Cheryl's hypothetical case.
