I do love watching Our Heroes Behaving Badly, and Avon here is as bad as Blake's obstreperousness in Shadow ... though why Vila feels hard done by I don't know. After *his* behaviour at Space City, one can't blame Blake for one moment for *not* taking him down to Freedom City.
Following Voice, they're both ripe for a break-out, however.

I always thought Vila would be rather good company, especially in the first two seasons before his drinking got more out of hand. And it appears even then, Avon preferred his company to the others (see especially Orbit, where he decides to take Vila with him rather than Tarrant and Dayna, who were originally slated to go).
