It's shameful how little I know of British geography
Oh well, I've lived here all my life, and it was only when I went to Colchester for the first time (aged 23) that I realised it was in Essex, not the south coast. I think I'd got it confused with Chichester.
Similarly Portsmouth and Plymouth. I knew roughly where Plymouth was, because the train from Manchester to Oxford ended up there. But I amalgamated it with Portsmouth, and hence could never understand why a Portsmouth friend travelled to Manchester via London, which I thought was an enormous detour to the east.
However, I believe some southerners are equally confused about the North.
So, did our crew ever confuse Auron and Auros? Zonda and Zondawl? While looking up these, I notice that even the Sevencyclopaedia slips and refers to Betafarl in the entry on Beta-5.
