I don't know how she acted around her own people, but the fact she *didn't* contact anyone else for 'what do I do now' seems to indicate that, when not in the presence of the Prophecized One, she is quite the boss of herself.
I think she was a selfish little cow who wanted to claim all the kudos for meeting the nameless lord that was foretold and getting the rocket launched. She could tell all the others later and make 'em feel *that* small.
One up for Meegat, methinks.
