Perhaps they had budget cuts ?
Perhaps they had a different director or producer, who decided to have a more stabler dress code ?
Perhaps the actors felt silly and decided to limit fashion & clothes
Perhaps more of the budget went on special effects
Perhaps they characters just did not have the opportunity or resources to change clothes.
