Especially since at the start of Horizon he's making all those noises about rest centres etc ... maybe Blake trusted in Avon's common sense to throw cold water on the idea? (After all, it *is* rather unlike Avon to break out in *this* way). Unfortunately, this time Vila didn't think it up by himself ... he had Avon's 'common sense' to do it for him :-)
