When Avon, Blake and Jenna get to the Liberator's flight deck Avon says 'look the escape pods have been jettisoned' (or words to that effect). Whether or not he comes from the System and knows what he is looking at - how come Blake and Jenna accept the statement without question?
(And presumably from the number of 'missing weapons' one can deduce how many people were in the previous crew - each took one on abandoning ship, as they were in a war zone)
