Or perhaps not. But seriously, threatening to expose that Avon's done something awful is hardly going to work IMO; threatening to embarrass him in front of Dayna and Del would be much more satisfactory.
Oops, I think I wasn't saying what I meant. What I meant was 1) Cally got exiled (again?) because of something the others did (stealing the crown jewels sounds like a good possibility), but that 2) there was something else involved.
For example, instead of just exile, maybe the Aurons said, if she wanted to get her friends off their planet in one piece, she would have to agree to . . . what? Given that Aurons don't usually pull some of the sick stunts the Federation is into, the Twilight Zone-ish twists are limited. Getting her people the DNA to clone the most effective military leader around in case they decided _not_ to be neutral (we know it wasn't Servalan's [not that she was that great but the PR might have foolded them])? Getting them the DNA profiles of the Liberator's crew ("Og, say hello to your father, Vila")? None of these seem likely. Still, how big a favor do you have to promise to make an entire planet forgive Avon and Vila? And have it be something so bad _Tarrant_ would be creeped out to hear it?
