So there I was, putting together material for my Redemption workshop on 'Perfomance lessons from B5 and B7' when I was struck with a thought.
You see, Avon's Beautiful Suffering is undeniably canonical. However, the actual examples of it are things like the Avon/Anna confrontation in 'Rumours', which I think are actually examples of poor acting by Paul Darrow.
Is it really the case that others see the character's iron stoicism where I see only the actor's disregard of some fundamental principles of physical and vocal performance?
The workshop's at 1 pm on Saturday, if anyone wants to bring their cudgels.
