I'm sorry, but the Germans did not invent totalitarianism and fascism, nor did the Brits. The existence of a totalitarian government does not automatically imply a knowledge or awareness of WWII.
You will notice from the series of quotations that I did not suggest that. You said that there was no remembrance of WW2 in B7, I replied that there was. You appear to have taken my response to be related to a different discussion about the extent to which B7 can be considered 'British'.

Sorry, neither the Brits nor the Germans nor anyone in recent memory invented fascist regimes. In fact, fascist regimes are all the rage in many SF books, many, many of them written by American authors long before B7 ever appeared on the scene.
