Actually, I spent some time (that would have been better spent trying to decipher Arabian university transcripts) trying to match PGP Blake with Columbo. The physical side works - the sort-of-curly (okay, messy) hair, the dodgy eye, the shabby clothes - but be blowed if I can match anything of My Now Distinctly Disturbing Hero character-wise ...
