Orac can predict the future - so perhaps it saw the Liberator destroyed Jacqui
That would be just like Orac, wouldn't it? One prediction of a DSV being destroyed and then put into Orac's secret, other, recycle bin, to allow for easy retrieval whenever he feels like it.
Which does make you wonder if that cloud of particles was actually harmless, and Orac caused the Liberator to self-destruct rather than be wrong. Nothing like a computer with an enormous ego...
