After fifteen minutes of trying to get the humans and their obnoxious, square shaped palantir to stop arguing with each other long enough to explain the situation, Elrond had had enough. Grabbing Gandalf's staff, he threw a small lightening bolt into the middle of the crowd. Finally, he had their attention.
"Thank you," he said, handing the staff back with a nod of thanks. "You'll all get your chance to speak - _one_ at a time." He looked them over. His eyes settled on a slight, grey cloaked figure in the back, the only one who hadn't been yelling at anyone else. "You there, you've been awfully quiet. What do you have to say?"
Cally pushed back her hood, looking sheepish. "Er, hello, Daddy."
