Forwarded at Fiona's request **********************************
Dear Members of Lysator,
It has recently come to my attention that I have been the victim of a cruel and unusual bit of internet fraud. I am still trying to work out exactly what happened, but in the meantime:
-If you have received any e-mail from the following addresses:
nydersdyner@yahoo.co.uk nyder@mailandnews.com
from mid-April onwards purporting to be from myself, please disregard it. It is *not* from me and has nothing to do with me. A third party has obtained the password to these accounts, and is apparently using them to stir up trouble. I have e-mailed the abuse team of both service providers requesting that these addresses be closed down.
-I am given to understand that somebody has been appearing on Lysator and claiming that she has been undertaking certain actions with my knowledge and consent. I would like to say at this point that she is in fact acting without my knowledge or consent, and that I have no personal connection to this individual whatsoever. Furthermore, she does not, whatever she may claim, represent the views of myself or any friend of mine she cares to name, in particular Alan Stevens. I would also hasten to add that Alan and I are in no way romantically linked.
For obvious reasons, I am currently very reluctant to give out my e-mail address over the Lyst. I have asked Tavia to pass on any messages.
I am sorry for any inconvenience and distress caused to you all through the actions of this person. Rest assured that they are nothing compared to the inconvenience and distress incurred by myself in learning of them.
Regards,
Fiona Moore
