Being only very slightly older than Una, I don't really remember the political situation in the UK when B7 was first shown. As a politically naive kid I certainly made no connection: 'Robin Hood in Space' just about fits the way I saw it first time round.

My Other Half, who was living in London throughout the first showings of B7, claims that there was IRA-related violence in London and other English cities, certainly by very early 80s -- but maybe he's misremembering.
