With regards to Tunnock's products, two questions: do their Snowballs have a high enough visibility to be recognizable?
Matthew certainly started salivating at the mention of the Caramel Wafer.
Other suggestions from this end are the (Cadbury's) mini-roll, or the (McVitie's) jaffa cake. Neither of which (particularly the second) would need the brand name.

Oh, goody, more choices! But, I could use descriptions (pretty please?)

The Cadbury's mini-roll is a sponge rolled round a creamy fondant and the whole lovingly dipped in Cadbury's chocolate. Tasty.
The McVitie's jaffa cake is a small round sponge cake, the top of which is covered in chocolate, and which has a 'smashing orangey bit' in the middle (orange jelly - or should that be jell-o..?). You can guzzle a box of 12 in about three minutes. They're just yummy.

Ooh, is that the same as Debbie mentioned then? Is it gooey? Because I was originally looking for something rather gooey. (The fried thing was thitherto unknown to me.)

I don't think it's the same thing Debbie mentioned, which seems to be an egg shaped thing (I haven't seen one since I don't drive and don't get to go to service stations).
The mini-roll isn't terribly gooey, more spongy cakey with a bit of goo.
