Wasn't it supposed to start *filming* last year, though? Must have been a *really* bad script to make that amount of re-writing necessary <veg>

Dunno. The second radio play stiffed; the re-runs were taken off after 1st season; the BBC doesn't appear to me to be any more enthused (possibly less). And the Dr Who movie led precisely nowhere as far as TV is concerned.
Sorry and all that to those who are looking forward to the movie, but ... I really am *enormously* more enthusiastic about the DVDs of the series itself.

Andrew Sewell also said he had the rights to the DVDs and their launch was only a possibility.

That's my first reaction, too, pessimist that I am. :-(
Anybody else see the Lost in Space movie? The Avengers movie? The Dragnet movie? The <fill the blank with any TV series? movie?
The producers have a genius for taking out what we actually enjoyed about a show, and 'improving' it with state of the action scenes and sfx. If the fans of B7 were greatly interested in action and sfx -- well, they wouldn't be B7 fans in the first place, would they?

Hey! The Avengers movie *rocked*! In a way. I mean it's not a good movie, but it does seem very Avengers-like to me (and please note how I am not even going to mention in passing what an excellent Avon Ralph Fiennes would make, even though that would be a cheap and easy ObB7 reference).
