She doesn't show much leadership qualities, though. In S3, where she could have tried to step into Blake's shoes, she seems content with letting Tarrant take the initiative. (As does Avon at first. It seems to me he only takes up the role of leader - very reluctantly - after Tarrant has made a mess of commanding Liberator in Harvest and City.)
That she didn't take on this role probably says more about TPTB's attitudes
than Blake's, though.<
Probably. Yet it does increase the tension to have an ambigious and unpredictacle character in that role rather than someone who can be relied upon to support Blake through thick and thin :-)
Of course, as already pointed out quite recently, for most of S1 Jenna was second in command.
Marian
