I've always seen Prozac as something akin to the suppressant drugs in TWB, actually. It damps the troughs, yes, but also (in my experience) flattens the peaks.

After two years of troughs, a flattened peak seems wonderful. But actually, about two weeks after I started taking it the first time I actually felt a little manic, laughing too much at just about anything. Fortunately that passed after a few days.

It increases energy in a way that felt to me like 'productive worker bee' food (very Brave New World).

I like feeling like a productive worker bee every now and then. Oh, to finally get things done again...

And it kills the sex drive in a fairly high proportion of recipients.

<shrug> Never had much of one, anyway. I just like to look and leer. A lot. Now if only they could start using muscular female models in the magazines instead of the ones that look like they need to be anchored against the wind. The males look fine as they are. Yum.

Funny thing. I generally don't like thin, but I happen to think that Cally is the second prettiest of the women. I can't for the life of me figure out why that is. Servalan is number one, of course, but she's in a class all by herself.

BTW, a good thing about prozac is that it also lessens your appetite. Last time I lost 7 kilograms.
