Peter, jag å min sida tror inte att det är så lätt att gå från småskalig till storskalig produktion, och inte heller att gå från att vara en smal sektor till en bred. Det är just där som den Europeiska velomobiltillverkningen behöver kompletterande kunskap och resurser.
Det är där jättar som Volvo kommer in. Så även om det här med en velomobil-line på Volvo är sagt mest "på skämt", eller åtminstone med glimten i ögat, så menar jag trots allt allvar i grunden. En kombination av flexibilitet och stor-industri-tänk behövs nog för att få igång produktionen. Hela stora tunga båten Volvo är för seg att vända, men det kanske inte behövs heller? Glöm inte att Volvo en gång var en idé i huvet på Assar Gabrielsson, som jobbade på... just det, SKF. Där bestämde man sig till sist för att starta ett helt nytt företag. Men SKF fick ändå stödja väldigt mycket i perioder. Att börja med en ny typ av fordon i en bilfabrik är nog lättare än att starta en bilfabrik. Tror jag. Även om tankesätt och attityder kan vara svårast att förändra, det är säkert där de största hindren finns. -- /zixvelo troglodist
