Med kommentaren i parantes, menar du att det vore bättre med t.ex. en 70 eller 75 klinga eller bättre med en 60 klinga? (Helt färsk på området, kan inte defintionen på hög utväxling..)

Låt mig börja med att klargöra att jag inte är en snabb cyklist, inte kör några lopp och inte bryr mig om trampfarter över 30.
"Hög" utväxling säger jag alltid om "trögare att trampa", den som som används för högre hastigheter... (säger så även på bilar där det ju snarare är en mindre nerväxling)
Jag kan erkänna att se 50 som trampfart på högsta växeln var nog den direkta orsaken till min kommentar, samtidigt har jag ju användning för mina låga växlar här i göteborg...
Viktigare är nog att med dina korta vevar så har du ju ännu högre kraftut(ned-)växling (Gain Ratio hos Sheldon) med samma kedjehjul än standard 170-vevar, dvs 65-klingan får trampmotstånd av en 72-klinga.
Jo, jag skulle nog gått ner i storlek på framdrevet, frågan är bara hur mycket och hur platt det egentligen är i terrängen. -- /Dmitriy Bokarew
