Mats, i Nederländerna känner man sig nog välkommen med cykel. Många landsvägar verkar ha parallella cykelvägar eller vägar för lokaltrafik med begränsad hastighet på båda sidor om vägen. Däremot i städerna har de i detta flacka land gjort samma misstag som här, leder cykelvägarna ner i tunnlar under vägarna och på så vis skapat onödiga konstgjorda backar och begränsar flödet i cykelvägssystemet.
Det finns en skillnad mellan Sverige och Nederländerna, den gäller åtminstone i Eindhoven, och det är att dessa backar är mycket flacka, så att det inte är någon större ansträngning att cykla uppför, och så att man inte behöver bromsa på väg nedför.
I Lund har man byggt om flera korsningar på senare tid med cykelvägar under bilvägen, med liknande design som i Eindhoven, dvs mycket flacka lutningar.
Om man gör på detta sätt är det ekonomiskt rimligare att gräva ner cykelvägen än att gräva ner eller höja upp bilvägen. Det blir helt enkelt så mycket mindre att gräva. Så jag vill inte klaga på detta, i synnerhet eftersom trafikflödet för cyklister förbättras avsevärt, jämfört med trafikljusen där fanns tidigare.
