I quite reasonably replied that if they are not interested in Chris Boucher then it is really of no importance to them who Chris Boucher is. No, what it sounds like is a *question.* I did not say that I thought that nobody should be allowed or not allowed to buy a script if that's what they want to spend their money on, I *expressed surprise* that somebody who didn't know who Chris Boucher was would want to buy his script. Somebody who didn't know who he was *might* want to buy it of course, all things are possible, but I was expressing the opinion that this was unlikely. However, your response sounds unpleasantly as if you've taken a dislike to me for some reason and are spoiling for a fight. It's possible I suppose, but IMO not very likely. If their interest in the show's production is so scant, why should they then consider spending £20, £30 perhaps £50 or more on a script they have a video of anyway, instead of on something more directly related to the actors? I would be interested to know just how many people on this list really do not know who Chris Boucher is. Perhaps they would like to make themselves known :-)... If you could change...

Hmm tricky.... Most of what I'd like to change others have already commented on but here goes. 3 things about the series... 1. Show it after the watershed...the darker side of things had a lot of potential that couldn't be explored in an early evening slot. 2. Explore the background a bit. I would have loved to here more about the Federation, it's history, more about the social and political setup. Also more about the characters background, we hear a bit about Blake and Avon but very little about the rest. It would ahve been nice to see Jenna as smuggler, Vila as 'full-time' thief. 3. Bigger budget. Not that I mind wibbly sets or anything but it would be nice to see what they could have done given more money and todays technology. 3 Episodes to change... 1. The Way Back. I'd have liked to see how the others ended up in that holding cell too, course that would have made it rather over 50 minutes but there we go... Kinda fits with my wanting more background I guess. 2. Aftermath. More on what happened to everyone else. I have liked to see Blake and Jenna escape too. ("Jenna's gone with Blake." - aren't those escape capsules one person only...a bit cosy wouldn't it have been?<grin> And once they did seperate why did Blake go to Epheron and Jenna to Morphenniel. Why didn't they try to get back to the Liberator why why and so on... 3. Warlord. Vila seems to have more or less shrugged off nearly being done in by Avon. I'd have liked to se the repercussions adressed a bit more. Leia

If we succeed, the destruction of Control gives us both what we want. Avon very carefully *doesn't* say that being given the Liberator is his price - that he won't join in unless Blake agrees to it. Instead, he puts it as the natural consequence of Blake succeeding (and therefore a strong reason for him to go), but not as a condition of his involvement. I think it's a rather brilliant way of putting a claim in *without* having to deal with Blake's answer to a more direct 'price'. This way, Blake knows he wants the ship, but he hasn't actually demanded it, Blake doesn't need to answer either way, and as a bonus, Avon has a nicely self-serving reason to Do The Right Thing. Gorgeous bit of verbal game-playing on both sides, actually. <After all, in pressure point the conversation between Avon and Blake presupposes that control of the Liberator is something that can be decided between Avon and Blake. (Interestingly Blake hedges. "There's no hurry" He needs Avon's cooperation at this point, but realises that the crew might have something to say).> Jenna might, true. From his knowledge of Cally and Vila, Blake could IMO predict that if Avon wanted command, Avon would have it (as in fact happened in S3). The ownership status of the Liberator is a difficult point (bearing in mind, of course, that the actual *legalities* of ownership would hardly count with this lot anyway). The three of them - Blake, Avon and Jenna - were sent onto the Liberator, but it was Blake who saved them from the same fate as Leylan's men. Then Jenna was the one whose mind Zen read, but that seems not to have counted for much where the crew (or indeed Zen) were concerned, and was never mentioned again. Blake clearly considers it his from the first. He calls it 'my ship' to Vargas; I hope he hasn't been silly enough to say it to the others *just* yet, but the line "I need a crew" was fairly blunt. In that wonderful bluff in Time Squad, he seamlessly shifts the status quo from 'not doing anything without discussing it thoroughly' to 'anyone who wants out of *his* agenda also wants to leave and should say so' (and I for one love it - and him). And Avon actually helps him ("Oh, I will ..." thereby conceding Blake's 'right' to do this, whether wittingly or not). After this, the others do seem to accept that if there's a disagreement about what the ship is being used for, it's the other person who has to leave, not Blake (Jenna and Gan as early as Time Squad, Avon and Vila in Breakdown) which would imply very strongly that they see it as his rather than a joint possession (Horizon is different, since Avon was IMO trying *very* hard to pretend that he believed that the evidence said that they might sort of kind of be dead.
