But I don't think he shows much *interest* in it, except when he can use it as a weapon (Sarcophagus, Power). Here's what the page says: Doctor Who News 10 June 2001 Doctor Who Returns to BBC Online <Sylvester, Dan and Kevin> Hes back - and hes online. The Doctor is returning to the BBC for a special one-off audio drama, Death Comes To Time, to be broadcast exclusively on the BBC Doctor Who web site on Friday July 13th 2001. The 30 minute audio play sees The Doctor enlist the help of a mysterious Time Lord to battle an alien warlord who is fighting for control of time itself. Death Comes to Time will be the BBCs very first piece of drama broadcast purely online and is the first new Doctor Who broadcast by the BBC since the TV movie in 1996. Sylvester McCoy returns as The Doctor with Sophie Aldred as Ace. They will be joined in their adventures by a host of famous and well-known names including Stephen Fry, John Sessions and Jacqueline Pearce (Servalan from Blakes 7). A trailer for the production will premiere here on Friday June 15th. Make a note in your 500 year diary. Having more-or-less left the Lyst a few weeks ago because I was too stressed out to deal with some of the stuff that was going on, may I say how utterly, utterly wonderful it is to come back and see all these great posts reminding me of just why it is I love this show so very much? I'm not going to do my own top-twenty list, because it would just duplicate stuff other people have already included on theirs, but I just thought I'd mention two more great moments that I don't think I've seen anybody else bring up yet: * When Blake refuses to kill Travis in "Duel," and Avon shakes his head with that indulgent, amused, "I *knew* it!" expression on his face. * When Anna's men come for Servalan, and she shakes their hands off her. I love the sense of dignity she exudes there, and the feeling that, even in these circumstances, she is still in control of herself and the situation. Servalan on the flight deck of the rotting Liberator clearly echoes the Mad Wife standing on the roof of the burning manor as everything falls apart. Is Avon Mr. Darcy with computer skills? Proud, arrogant and disagreeable, but a man of his word. Cally to be Eliza Bennett, who he struggles not to lose his heart to? She does have fine eyes. :)

Dr Who to be resurrected online The BBC has announced plans for a new episode of Dr Who which will only be broadcast on the internet. The special one-off audio drama will be called Death Comes To Time. It will be broadcast on the BBC's website on July 13. It will be the first new Dr Who story since the TV movie in 1996. Sylvester McCoy will play the Doctor while Sophie Aldred will take on the role of his companion Ace. They both played the roles on television at the end of the 1980s. Stephen Fry, John Sessions and Jacqueline Pearce will also co- star in the episode. The 30-minute audio play will see the Doctor enlist the help of a mysterious Timelord, played by Fry, to battle an alien warlord. The warlord, played by Sessions, is fighting for control of time itself. Listeners will also have the opportunity to review the drama and vote on whether they want the Doctor to return.
