Haven't written 'em, just thinking of 'em, Filks inspired by recent discussions. That's a part of the reason he goes into that *total* shock, not even noticing when the others are shot around him (when he killed Anna he was distraught, but not blinded to everything around him), then makes that hopeless but wonderfully moving gesture of protecting Blake's body... which he wouldn't have done had he still had any doubt. I go with the "The Liberator had LOTS of space" school of thought or else I'd seriously be wondering how they managed to hide from the Federation Death squad, how no one was ever within screaming distance when the plot said they shouldn't be, and how they could miss the treasure room (even if they just misplaced the four months [flushed down the rather large plumbing that would go with Liberator's rather large living space, no doubt], Jenna didn't expect her Lawrence of Arabia friend to find it without help and, in S3, Avon considered it likely only the soldier he had actually seen go into the treasure room had found it). Heh heh. Their three main weapons were guns, an explosive concealed somewhere amongst Dayna's clothing, an empty bottle of adrenalin and soma, and Avon's smile. Sorry, their four main weapons were... well now, someone can do this better than I can. Just make sure you put leather uniforms in there somewhere. Cutting it Down to Size

I think that a lot of problems with B7 viewed as an ongoing series (rather than separate episodes) could have been reduced by thinking of things on a smaller scale. If, for instance, there were only a dozen habitable planets, it would be less surprising that they all have quarries and only one building (an underground bunker) per planet, and it would be possible to follow the political currents of their relationship with the Federation. If the Liberator were an astonishingly advanced--but tiny--ship (as if Scorpio weren't an interstellar Yugo, for example) then it would make perfect sense that Blake couldn't accommodate a larger crew and had to be critically understaffed all the time. -(Y)
