Doctors

Gareth is in an episode of 'Doctors', a daytime soap on BBC1. It's on this week, either Wednesday or Friday. According to Horizon, the episode is 'Chip off the old block' which is on Wednesday 26 Sept, but the Radio Times has Gareth on the cast list on Friday 28 Sept which is 'Neighbours'. However, they do sometimes lump cast lists for the week together and every day of the week except Wednesday has a cast list, so Wednesday's cast list might have been added to Fridays. (It's supposed to be the 'regular' cast in the Friday listing, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gareth had been included there by accident) If you want to watch it, I'd try Wednesday at 12.30 lunchtime and if Gareth isn't in that one, then try Friday at the same time. I'm looking for two specific images, and after searching the internet for most of the day, I've decided to give in. If anyone knows of a webpage where they can be found, would they please let me know? The images are: A group shot of the first series cast taken on the flight deck (as seen on volume one of the recent video release by Fabulous Films) The other one is a long shot. It's a screen capture from the title sequence; specifically the "blocky" pale blue & white shot of Blake under 'treatment'. I hope no-one minds me posting this request, as I said, I've been searching all day! Many thanks Wildean

If Cally seemed to have different reasons for not returning to Auron by S3, perhaps Liberator had visited her homeworld at least once? And she had new reasons for not wanting to return that she didn't want to discuss in front of Avon. Whatever they were, when she said she might tell them someday, it sounded like a threat. The first part's obvious. Avon offended everyone on the planet, and Cally had to work hard to keep them from killing him. But what was the second part, something so bad or surprising to _this_ bunch? Well, specifically we don't know that he's an engineer ... but I think he is :-) It's impossible to tell, of course. The Federation's educational structure could be completely different from our own. Wherever he went, I have the feeling he mixed a fair bit with other grades (which would help explain his marked egalitarian ideas and manner). <We haven't been told whether one goes to Federation Space Academy after or instead of college--presumably the latter, if Tarrant is old enough to have various post-graduate adventures. Presumably Servalan also went to FSA, although my mind boggles.> Maybe the Federation has special 'elite' schools where students who show great academic or political promise are sent whether they want to be or not (something like the Adolf Hitler schools); Servalan could have gone straight from there to officer cadet training; Avon *could* have also been sent there (as a prospective genius in a very useful field) and learned how the 'priveleged' lived, then got booted out :-) when he proved to be rather less than malleable. So where, if anywhere, did she go to college?> I doubt it too; again speculating, it's quite possible that she first learned piloting as part of a youth organisation (spaceship piloting being something you don't just pick up in high school :-)). The thing is, she *could* have come from a criminal family background, but I also doubt Servalan would describe such a background as 'superior', so the probability is that Jenna's family are more respectable than she is ... yes, yes, I know Blake's an Alhpa with political-criminal connections (Ushton) but I do think the word 'political' is important here. <Gan and Vila probably didn't go to college -> Though - if the fanfictional assumption that Gan comes from a farming background can be accepted - he could have been to the equivalent of an agricultural college.
